This energy storage system combines the renowned Fronius PRIMO GEN24 Plus Single-Phase hybrid inverter, BYD Battery Box HVS Premium battery, along with an optional Smart meter for optimised grid energy management. 

Designed for users aiming to increase solar self-consumption and improve energy management with high discharge power, but low to medium battery storage capacity requirements.
Additionally, choose the Fronius Smart meter option to take full advantage of your solar energy use by dynamically and automatically controlling exporting to the grid.

The Fronius Primo GEN24 Plus Hybrid Inverter is suitable for both on-grid and backup power applications. It includes standard Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, allowing for easy monitoring and integration with third-party energy management systems. It also comes with a built-in PV Point—a basic 3kW backup power supply for essential loads during grid outages. Ideal for standard single-phase homes, with solar arrays from 3-15kW. 

The BYD Battery Box Premium HVS, when paired with the Primo inverter, consists of 2 or 3 modules connected in series, providing a usable capacity ranging from 5.1 to 7.7 kWh per battery pack. Additionally, up to 3 of these series can be connected in parallel, allowing for a total maximum capacity of 23.1 kWh. It features a modular design that can be scaled to suit different energy needs. Its lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) cell chemistry supports safety and long-term durability.

The Fronius Single Phase Smart Meter accurately measures both grid energy consumption and solar export, enabling real-time monitoring of household electricity use. It helps optimise self-consumption by providing detailed insights into when and how power is being used. When integrated with the Solar.web platform, users gain a clear visual overview of energy flows. In storage systems such as the Fronius BYD Package, the smart meter plays a key role in intelligently managing and balancing solar generation, battery storage and grid interaction to maximise overall energy efficiency.

Together, these components provide a practical and adaptable storage setup for solar PV systems.
