The AERL EarthGuard EG-600 is an independent insulation monitoring unit designed for use with compatible third-party controllers, inverters and battery systems.
The AERL EarthGuard EG-600 fault detection device employs AERL’s proprietary technology to continuously monitor up to two DC circuits (ranging from 20V to 600V) for signs of insulation breakdown, ensuring reliable fault detection.
The EG-600 meets the requirements of AS/NZS 5033:2014 and AS/NZS 5139:2019 for earth fault detection. It includes integrated audio and visual alarms, along with relay outputs for external fault indication, providing flexible integration into solar PV or battery storage systems.
Featuring support for full integration with AERL’s CoolMax SRX charge controller range, EarthGuard can be utilised in an integrated arrangement or as a standalone device for use with approved third-party controllers, power conversion equipment and battery systems. This unit is suitable for PV arrays up to 600V and can monitor two circuits independently – either two PV circuits or one PV and one battery circuit.
