BYD is a global leader in battery technology and its LVS battery systems are designed to provide reliable and safe power for various applications including off-grid using a 51.2v DC Coupled Low Voltage architecture.

The BYD LVS battery systems are designed to be easy to install and maintain. They have a compact and modular design that can fit in any space, indoors or outdoors with an IP55 enclosure protection rating, which means they are resistant to dust and water ingress. The battery management system (BMS) monitors the battery status and performance, and provides protection against overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, short circuit, and temperature extremes.
The BYD LVS battery systems are composed of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery modules that can be used with an external inverter. LFP is a type of lithium-ion battery chemistry that offers many advantages over other types, such as:
- Higher safety and stability: LFP batteries have a lower risk of thermal runaway and fire than other lithium-ion batteries, making them safer to use and store.
- Longer cycle life and durability: LFP batteries can withstand more charge and discharge cycles than other lithium-ion batteries, extending their lifespan and reducing the need for replacement.
The BYD LVS battery systems are also highly scalable and flexible, allowing you to customise your energy storage capacity and configuration according to your needs. You can add or remove battery modules as your energy demand changes over time, without affecting the system performance or warranty.
A single Battery-Box Premium LVS tower contains one PDU unit and base with between
1 to 6 battery modules LVS stacked in parallel and can reach 4 to 24.0 kWh usable capacity in one tower:
• Battery-Box LVS 4.0 (4 kWh)
• Battery-Box LVS 8.0 (8 kWh)
• Battery-Box LVS 12.0 (12 kWh)
• Battery-Box LVS 16.0 (16 kWh)
• Battery-Box LVS 20.0 (20 kWh - single tower only)
• Battery-Box LVS 24.0 (24 kWh - single tower only)
Connect up to 16 Battery-Box LVS 16.0 in parallel (Max 4 modules per tower when multiple towers ) for a maximum size of 256 kWh.
Ability to scale by adding LVS modules or parallel towers of 1 to 4 modules later.
The BYD LVS battery systems are compatible with various brands of inverters, such as Selectronic SP PRO, SMA Sunny Island, Victron Multiplus/Quattro, Fronius Symo Hybrid/Gen24 Plus, GoodWe ET/ES/EM/EP Series and more.
Use with BYD LV BMU (Battery Management Unit) for Wifi Connectivity and Inverter communication.
